A Child Came Out To Wonder

1966! She did this concert in 1966. I was ten. Eight years later she would be my American Idol and the funny thing is--- she still is. Joni is the artist in all of us. Her songs have a way of bringing to the surface our own poems. She's also an awesome painter.

From her Blue album... Blue.. songs are like tattoos, ya know I've been to sea before, crown and anchor me or let me sail away.... Blue....

There's more to that song and I may not have the words exactly right, but they still play in my head and more so on days when I am blue.

As the seasons go round and round, I am so grateful for gals like Joni. They are the true women libbers and the liberators of us all!
