Ant Inspiration

It was nine-thirty-five PM and Ant Jean was at it again. No such thing as bedtime when the creative juices are flowing. Ant Jean always has a surprize project when she visits.

This time she brought a how to make cartoon charactors book. Plus--- her very well-organized box of colored pencils and markers.  Not to mention her sketch book.

Kenz started out by following the faces, noses, mouths and hairs. She made one guy that looked almost like one of the guys above, but then defaulted to her own drawings. Nothing like children's art. Picasso said something to the effect that all children are artists, but staying an artist when we grow up is a challenge.

We love our arty Ant Jean!

I bet the visits from Aunt Jean are always looked forward to. I had an Aunt Jean that was an artist in fact we helped create the first character back when Chuck E Cheese pizza first started. She was a hoot to be around.

Too fun, she will always remember staying up "late" with you. I bet it will be fun to watch her art progress...

Some children love the how-to-draw books, and some find them stifling. I think both viewpoints are valid!
