Flying By

I snapped this picture while driving down the street today, around three o'clock. It looks like a giant-winged horse or some kind of ancient creature. See how she is leaping across the sky, glancing back over her shoulder. Maybe you don't see it, but maybe you do.

Many August clouds have passed since my last post. Looking back over the last couple of weeks I know the hands of time have moved. Here are a few of the changes in the life of an everyday Nana and her grandchildren, whom she loves and adores.

Brody eats with a big spoon now. He points to the box of corn flakes and says "Dorn."

Daba is teaching him how to test for good batteries.

Kenz started school. She is in second grade. This picture of the darling cousins was taken on her last night of summer vacation. We were out to dinner celebrating my birthday.

Yes, Nana had another birthday!  Kenz took this at the BIG garage sale we had at her mom's.  She insisted I wear her Happy Birthday headband so we wouldn't forget that it was my special day.

Ah yes! This August has been very busy.  (Look at the time I am writing this, it's late!)

Funny,  I always have time to take pictures, even  pictures of the clouds.

The days are flying by.

I'm grateful for this picture in the sky.

Can you see her now? She's throwing us a big kiss!

I haven't posted much recently in my blog either. As I sometimes say, I can write about being a grandmother or I can be a grandmother, but it's hard to do both. My grands start school on Monday, and then I'll have plenty of time to do everything I need to do. . . . What do you want to bet that much of it never gets done?

I am epecting my first grandbaby in April. My daughter has been through a lot to become pregnant due to infertility. So we are elated. I started a new blog and am looking for other women who are moms and grandmas to connect to. Your grandkids are beautiful!!
