In about a month I'll be having a Baby Shower for my daughter-in-law. She is due in September. The crazed grandma is about to be double crazed. Setting a date and getting ready to send out the invitations is solidifying the reality of the upcoming event.

According to the sonogram, it's a boy!

Some of my thoughts lately:

Maybe baby Brody won't call me Nana. Maybe I'll be grandma or granny. (Will I start another blog Play Wit Me Grandma?)

My son and his wife are in for a birthday treat. Delivery day is magical, especially seeing the new person for the first time. I'm excited for them to have the experience.

Kenz will be an awesome cousin. She already includes Brody ..... Nana, I'm too old for this toy, book, (etc) let's save it for the baby.

When my second grandchild is born, I will be older than I was the first time. Because I know more about being a grandma than I did before, I am more relaxed and more excited than I was the first time around.

Forecast: A shower of blessings is on the way.

Yippee!

I have always loved baby showers. It seems such a primal thing to gather all that female energy and all that collective female wisdom in one place to usher an expectant mom into the next phase of her life. Hope you all have a wonderful time.
