To Sea Sea Sea
Last week Kenz and I took a trip together, just the two of us. We flew at night and delighted in watching the white city lights of San Diego welcome us to paradise. Instead of staying in a hotel we were blessed with the awesome hospitality of my brother. He lives a few blocks from the ocean. I know what you are thinking...how wonderful! Well, you're right. There is nothing like time away from routines and schedules, especially when accompanied by one of your most favorite of all people in the whole wide world.
Being able to experience my seven-year old grandgirl's perspective and personality without the usual interruptions, gave me more glimpses of who she is.
She's a talker. She is supreme-ly interested in the world around her. She's a sweetheart. She cares about others. She can focus when she wants to learn. And my favorite.... She loves to laugh!
We were also lucky to have my brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and friends to visit. Ahh! These good times live on in our memories... forever.
Life is a sea.

You are so lucky! I haven't done this yet. I've taken short trips with my grandchildren, and I've taken longer vacations with my grandchildren and their parents. But a trip by plane with just one grandchild--that sounds heavenly!
