Memorable Space (a short poem)

Memorable space

The lizards scamper up trees, over walls.
Atop the tall cactus mourning doves
pierce the clear blue, the nonworkaday
stillness. Hence, the subconscious
listens; hears siesta siesta siesta siesta.
Thus follows a sweet ascension to noon.
