Smartalicious

Pinkalicious is one of my favorites and Purplicious comes in as a close second. These are the kinds of books that childhood remembers. The illustrations are unforgettable. Kenz asked something that didn't even cross my mind.

Nana, are they gonna make a Bluealicious and an Orangealicious... a Redalicious?

These connections and leaps are a true sign of intelligence. I have a whole list of them, but can't find them right now, a sign of being unorganized.

The grandmas are blogging, the grandmas are blogging. Nana's Corner is a new link on my GRAND ROLL, so is Travelin Oma. I am amazed at all the Mommy Blogs, there's probably billions, they get tons of comments, most linked in networks like Blogher and the Mommy Blogs.

This instant support and shared diversity must make for a better understanding of how families function. The varieties and flavors are delicious!

Pink

I love the Pinkalicious book. It's a sweet story of a little girl who eats one too many pink cupcakes and wakes up the next morning PINK! My face was pink, my hands were pink, and my belly was the color of the sunset.
The little girl is diagnosed with Pinkititis, but still doesn't learn her lesson and sneaks another cupcake. Then she turns red. The cure for Pinkititis is of course, green; relish, pickles, spinach, olives and okra, artichokes, grapes and Brussel Sprouts.

Two sisters wrote and illustrated the book. http://www.elizabethkann.com/

=========================================
Earlier this year a song by the recording artist PINK was (for fifteen minutes) a favorite of mine, the clean version that is. Kenz liked it too and would perform it in her pink wig.

Ladies and gentlemen here's Mackenzie as PINK! She wouldn't catch many of the other words, but everytime it reached the repeating chorus she would belt it out.... "I DONT WANT TO BE A STUPID GIRL."
The song teaches some good lessons, like Whatever happened to a girl president, she's dancing in the video next to 5o cent. (Those might not be the exact words.) The point is don't fall for all the TV traps of what makes a popular girl.
BTW I know of a grandma who has pink streaked hair (maybe more on the reddish side).
She is a great role model for grandma's. Visit her blog and website and you'll see what I mean.
Happy Thanksgiving and don't eat any pink turkey!
